GREENSBORO, N.C. - NC State senior guard Marissa Kastanek was named first team All-ACC by the league's 12 head coaches on Monday.

This award comes on the heels of being named a first-team Academic All-American last month, as well as earning a post graduate scholarships from the ACC.

Kastanek, from Lincoln, Neb., ranks second on the Wolfpack in scoring at 12.6 points per game. She also ranks fifth in the ACC with 2.1 three-pointers per game, while her 37.6 percent shooting from downtown is eighth in the league.

She ranks 10th in school history with 1,607 career points, and her 235 three-pointers are second in the Wolfpack record book.

Kastanek also landed on the all-conference second team as selected by the Blue Ribbon Panel, a group that includes media members and team representatives.

NC State (15-15, 7-11 ACC) is the No. 8 seed in the ACC Tournament, and will play ninth-seeded Clemson on Thursday at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C. Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m., on the league's regional sports network and ESPN3 outside of the ACC footprint.
