The Wolfpack scored a season-high 88 points on Thursday in a 10-point, 88-78, win over High Point in the first round of the WNIT. A balanced attack saw four players score in double figures with Bonae Holston leading the way with 18 points and five rebounds. She went over 1,600 points and 900 rebounds in her career, becoming just the fifth player in school history to accomplish that feat.

Marissa Kastanek tossed in 16 points on 3-of-5 shooting from three-point land, while Kody Burke notched in her fourth double-double of the year with 15 points and tied a career high with 13 rebounds. Myisha Goodwin-Coleman added 13 points and handed out a career-best nine assists in the victory. The nine assists was part of 24 team assists on Thursday, the most since going all the way back to Nov. 25, 2005, when the Pack dished out 25 against Iowa State.

State dominated in the paint, outscoring the Panthers by a margin of 50-32. The Wolfpack also held a 52-38 rebounding advantage that led to an 18-9 margin in second-chance points.

Meanwhile, Appalachian State picked up its first-ever WNIT victory in a 79-73 win at UNC Wilmington on Thursday. The Mountaineers put the game away with a 10-4 run over the final three and a half minutes. Anna Freeman led the way with 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

The win set a new school record for ASU in a single season.

The winner of this game will take on the winner of Virginia-Richmond that will be played on Monday in Charlottesville at 7 p.m.
