    Greensboro, N.C. - NC State was picked to finish third with 273 votes in the Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball preseason poll, conducted Sunday, November 4, at the 11th annual ACC Women's Basketball Media Day. The Wolfpack also received six first-place votes and were selected to finish behind defending ACC champion Duke and North Carolina.

    Junior forward Carisse Moody was one of five players named to the preseason All-ACC squad. The Rocky Mount native led the Wolfpack last year with averages of 14.9 points and 7.1 rebounds and was a 2001 All-ACC second team selection.
