    Pack Women's Golf Finishes 10th at LSU Golf Classic

    BATON ROUGE – Amid windy conditions Sunday, the NC State women’s golf team shot a final round 39-over 327 to finish 10th in the overall team standings with a three-day 66-over 930 score at the LSU Golf Classic. The tournament was held at the par 72, 6,305-yard University Club.

    The Pack has placed in the top 10 in all seven of its tournaments, dating back to the fall season.

    Junior Ana Menendez was the Pack’s top finisher, tying for 16th with a 12-over 228 three-round total after carding a 9-over 81 on the final day.  Fellow junior Brittany Marchand tied for 28th with a 15-over 231 total for the tournament after carding a final round 79.

    Sophomore Vivian Tsui concluded the tournament tied for 46th at 20-over 236 after posting a final round 84. Tsui’s classmate, Augusta James fired a final round 83 to finish tied for 53rd with a 23-over 239.

    Senior Amanda Baker closed the tournament with a 90 to finish 59th with a 29-over 248.

    Freshman Rachael Taylor, competing as an individual, tied for 23rd in her Wolfpack debut with a 13-over 229 including final round 81.

    Arkansas swept the team and individual titles. The Razorbacks finished with a three-day tally of 35-over 899, while Emily Tubert finished even par 216 to capture medalist honors.

    The Wolfpack returns to action next weekend at the Bryan National Collegiate, March 29-31, in Brown’s Summit, N.C.
