    Pack Women's Golf Fifth After Second Round of LSU Golf Classic

    BATON ROUGE - With two rounds complete at the LSU Golf Classic, the NC State women's team remains in fifth place in the team standings after carding a 13-over 301 Saturday for a two-day total of 27-over 603. The Wolfpack is 13 shots behind first-place Arkansas, which finished day two with a nine-over 297, giving the Razorbacks a two-round tally of 14-over 590. The tournament is being held at the par 72, 6,305-yard University Club.

    Junior Ana Menendez is tied for 10th at three-over 147 after posting an even par second round.  Fellow junior Brittany Marchand carded a two-over 74 to move into a tie for 24th at eight-over 152.  Sophomore Vivian Tsui is also tied for 24th after posting a 77 on the second day.

    Senior Amanda Baker is tied for 38th after posting an 81 Saturday for a two-day total of 11-over 155. A shot back at 156 is sophomore Augusta James, who had a second round score of 78. James is tied for 42nd in the individual standings.

    Freshman Rachael Taylor, competing as an individual, has moved up three spots from Friday to tie for 13th after recording a one-over 73. After two days, Taylor is at four-over 148.

    Arkansas' Emily Tubert, LSU's Lindsay Gahm, Ole Miss' Ericka Schneider and Tennessee's Erica Popson are tied for the individual lead at even-par 144 after two days of competition.


     

     

    In the team standings, Tulane is tied for second with host LSU at 24-over 600 and Tennessee is fourth at 26-over 602.

    Sunday's final round gets underway with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
