GREENSBORO, N.C. - No. 21 NC State begins its quest for another NCAA appearance with the 2013 ACC Championship this weekend at Sedgefield Country Club. The 25th annual event will begin Friday at the par 71, 6,210-yard layout and run through Sunday.

The Pack's starting five this weekend will include Augusta James, Ana Menendez, Brittany Marchand, Rachael Taylor and Vivian Tsui.

Each of the nine ACC clubs will play 18 holes each day with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. Friday’s first round features Boston College, Maryland and Miami teeing off from 8:30 through 9:10 a.m.; Florida State, NC State and Virginia from 9:20 through 10 a.m.; and finally Duke, North Carolina and Wake Forest from 10:10 through 10:50 a.m.

The Wolfpack is currently ranked 21st by both Golfstat and in the Golf World/WGCA women's coaches poll, while also coming in 22nd by Golfweek.

NC State's main competition will likely come from Duke, North Carolina and Virginia. All three clubs rank among the top-20 nationally with Duke inside the top-five team and the ACC's defending champion.

The Wolfpack has finished top-7 in seven of eight events this season. That includes a win at the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge in Miami Lakes, Fla., and a tied for third showing at the Julie Inkster Spartan Invite in San Jose, Calif.

James leads the Pack with a 74.4 scoring average, followed closely by Marchand at 74.5. James owns six top-20 finishes this year, highlighted by a third at the Sir Pizza.

Marchand has three finishes inside the top-5. She finished second at the Sir Pizza, tied for fourth at the Bryan National Collegiate and tied for fifth at the Julie Inkster Spartan Invite.
