Jarred and Barr's 9.9s Highlight Win Over New Hampshire
Feb. 17, 2012 RALEIGH, N.C.-- NC State freshman Lane Jarred set a new career-high on beam to lead the Wolfpack past New Hampshire. The Wolfpack, currently ranked 19th nationally, finished the night with a team score of 195.700 which is the second highest of the season. Senior Brooke Barr paced the Wolfpack on vault with a 9.9, good for first place in the event. The score ties her career-high and sets a new season-high. Barr was joined at the podium by sophomore Stephanie Ouellette who finished second on vault. NC State's team score on vault, 48.975, represents a new season-high in the event. Ouellette set a new career-high on bars with a 9.875 to claim first place in the event. Ouellette, a sophomore from Columbia, Md., set a new career-high for the second straight meet after setting a new career-high at the Sweetheart Invitational last week. Senior Alex Williams claimed third place on bars with a 9.8, to set a new season-high and tie her career-high. On beam, freshman Lane Jarred set a new career-high with a 9.9 to capture first place. Senior Jess Panza finished closely behind Jarred with a 9.875 to claim second. Two seniors led the way on floor, as Brooke Barr and Jess Panza finished first and second respectively, in the event. Barr scored a 9.875 with her routine, while Panza scored a 9.850. Sophomore Diahanna Ham also turned in a great score on floor with a 9.8. State scored a 48.975 on vault and beam, while recording 48.875s on bars and floor. NC State returns to action Friday, February 24 to host Kent State, William & Mary, and Towson at 7 p.m.
