State Gymnastics Posts 195.450 in Dual Meet at Pitt

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The NC State gymnastics team turned in a 195.450 to finish first in its dual meet against the University of Pittsburgh on Friday evening at Fitzgerald Field House. State won the dual competition against the Panthers, 195.450-195-050.
The Pack opened the meet on bars, where senior Kristen Harabedian led the way with a score of 9.850. That score ties the Flemington, N.J., native's career best in the event, as she finished first on the podium. Courtney Bisbe finished with a 9.775 to finish third overall, while Michaela Woodford notched a 9.750. As a team, the squad finished with a 48.450.
State next moved to vault, where the squad posted a score of 49.100. Brittni Watkins led the way with a vault of 9.900 to win the event. It was her second such score this season on the event and her sixth overall. Stephanie Ouellette and Diahanna Ham each scored a 9.850 to finish in a tie for second, while Hannah Fallanca posted a score of 9.775. Freshman Amanda Fillard also added a score of 9.725, as the squad posted a total of 49.100
At the midway point of the meet, NC State led Pittsburgh, 97.550-97.000.
On the floor exercise, Ouellette and Watkins each posted a score of 9.875 to share first place on the podium. Harabedian and Lane Jarred each scored a 9.800 on their respective routines, while Fallanca finished with a score of 9.700. As a team, the Wolfpack totaled a score of 49.050.
State concluded the evening on the balance beam, where Ouellette led the squad with a score of 9.825, while Jarred posted a 9.800. Fallanca notched a 9.775 on her routine, while Diahanna Ham posted a 9.750. Harabedian also scored a 9.700, as the squad totaled a 48.850 on the apparatus.
Ouellette finished second in the all-around competition with a score of 38.975, while Watkins finished third with a 38.100.
Up next, the Wolfpack will return to Reynolds Coliseum on Friday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m., to host Pitt, William & Mary and Maryland.
