Gymnastics Improves to 19th in Latest Rankings

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State gymnastics team ranks 19th in the latest national rankings, released by Troester.com on Monday. The Wolfpack slides down three spots from its preseason ranking of 22.
State boasts a team average of 194.988, which ranks as the 19th highest team scoring average in the nation, just behind Maryland and California with averages of 195.000.
The Wolfpack finds itself ranked among the top-20 in team scoring average on floor, vault and beam. The Pack's average of 48.950 on floor ranks 15th, while its 48.975 ranks 18th on vault. An average of 48.623 on beam checks in 20th.
Junior Diahanna Ham is ranked 14th in the nation on vault, with an average of 9.888. Ham also ranks 26th in the all-around with an average of 39.113.
In its most recent outing, the Wolfpack tied the Maryland Terrapins with a final team score of 195.000.
NC State returns to action on Friday, Jan. 18, when it travels to New Hampshire. The meet is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
