Feb. 27, 2014
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State gymnastics team is set to host its final quad meet of the season on Friday, Feb. 28, as the Wolfpack welcomes Pittsburgh, Maryland and William & Mary to historic Reynolds Coliseum. The competition is set to begin at 7 p.m., and can be seen live on ESPN3.
“We’re really looking forward to this meet tomorrow and competing in front of our fans,” said assistant coach Colleen Johnson. “Since we’ve had several girls return to the lineup, the lineup has been much more steady and consistent. We’re hoping for some nice scores tomorrow to continue to build our ranking and improve our RQS.”
The Wolfpack will open the meet on vault before moving to the uneven parallel bars. In the second half of the competition, the squad will perform on the balance beam and conclude the evening on the floor exercise.
In its most recent meet, the Pack posted its top score on the road this season with a 195.450 at Pittsburgh. Kristen Harabedian posted strong results for the squad, as the senior finished first on the podium on bars with a score of 9.850. She also scored a 9.700 of better on floor exercise (9.800) and beam (9.700).
The first 200 fans in attendance to Friday’s meet will receive an NC State gymnastics drawstring backpack.
