    RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State women's gymnastics team will make the journey across the country to Provo, Utah, to compete against Brigham Young and the University of Utah on Friday, Mar. 1. The meet is slated to begin at 9 p.m. ET in the Marriott Center on BYU's campus. 

    The Wolfpack (10-5-1) is coming off of a strong performance at North Carolina, in which it scored a final 194.875. State posted a season-best 48.850 on the uneven bars as a team. The Pack also posted a 49 or better on floor exercise for the second time this season. 

    Junior Diahanna Ham leads the team with 17 podium finishes and six first-place honors on the season. Ham's classmate, Stephanie Ouellette, ranks second on the team in podium finishes with 13. 

    BYU enters the meet with a record of 7-6, after defeating Southern Utah in its last outing with a score of 195.800. Utah, ranked eighth in the country according to the Gym Info polls, boasts a record of 7-1-1. The Utes defeated Stanford last Saturday with a 197.300. 

    State and BYU have met four times in the history of the program, with the Wolfpack winning the last meeting in Raleigh on Jan. 14, 2012 with a score of 194.050. The Wolfpack and Cougars are knotted in the series at two wins apiece. The Pack will be competing against the Utes for the first time on Friday.
