RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State gymnastics team is set for its senior meet as the squad closes its regular season against New Hampshire on Sunday, March 16. The competition is set to get underway at 2 p.m. inside the friendly confines of Reynolds Coliseum.

“We’re losing one of our largest senior classes ever with seven kids who will be finishing up their careers on Sunday,” said head coach Mark Stevenson. “It should be a really strong competition, as the two teams are evenly matched from looking at the scores.”

The Pack will open the meet on vault, before moving to the uneven parallel bars. In the second half of the competition, State will compete on the balance beam and will close the afternoon on the floor exercise.

Seniors Hannah Fallanca, Heidi Ffield, Diahanna Ham, Kristen Harabedian, Ellen Marion and Stephanie Ouellette, along with junior Megan Kurdelmeir, who is scheduled to graduate in December, will compete at Reynolds Coliseum for the final time in their career. The seven gymnasts will be honored at the conclusion of the meet.

“We’re sending out a group of kids that have set a lot of records and have done a phenomenal job for us over the last four years,” Stevenson said.

Last time out, the Pack notched its highest road score of the season at 195.525 in a meet at top-ranked LSU. Sophomore Brittni Watkins finished second on the podium in the all-around with a score of 39.375. On the floor exercise, Watkins posted a score of 9.875, marking the sixth straight competition she has posted a 9.875 or better on floor.
