    MORGANTOWN, W. Va.-- North Carolina State senior gymnast Brooke Barr has been named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Specialist of the week, according to an announcement by the conference office on Tuesday.

    The selection comes as the third of the season for Barr, having already been named EAGL Specialist twice, and EAGL Gymnast once, this season.

    At the meet against William & Mary and Rutgers, Barr scored a 9.875 on vault to claim first place in the event. The senior also competed on floor, posting a score of 9.850, which was good for second place.  Barr finished in the top three in multiple events at the meet for the fourth time this season.  

    Barr has been named EAGL Specialist of the Week six times, Rookie of the Week five times, and Gymnast of the Week once, for a total of 11 selections during her career.

    NC State will return to action on Saturday, March 24 at the East Atlantic Gymnastics League Championships. The University of Pittsburgh will be hosting this years championships, with the action beginning at 2 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field  House in Pittsburgh, Pa.
