Pack Primed for NCAA Regionals at Georgia

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State gymnastics team is set for the 2014 NCAA Gymnastics Regional where it will take part in the Athens, Ga., regional on Saturday, April 5 at 4 p.m.
State earned a bid into the NCAA Regional for the 12th consecutive season and the 26th time in the program's history, all under the direction of head coach Mark Stevenson.
State will begin the meet on the uneven parallel bars, before moving to the balance beam. The Wolfpack will then have a bye before competing on floor and vault. The Pack will end the meet with a bye.
Also competing in the six-team regional will be Michigan, Central Michigan, Ohio State, Rutgers, along with host Georgia.
Six regionals will be held throughout the country with the top two teams in each region advancing to the NCAA Gymnastics Championships, held April 18-20 in Birmingham, Ala.
The top two all-around competitors, along with the event winners from each regional, will also receive an automatic bid if they are not already on one of the teams that will advance to the championship round.
Last season at the NCAA Regional, the Pack finished fifth at the Ohio State regional with a team score of 195.275.
