Rotation Order | Regional Information
RALEIGH, N.C.-- North Carolina State's gymnastics team will take on some of the nation's top teams on Saturday at the 2012 NCAA Regional, but the 20th-ranked Wolfpack will have the luxury of doing so at its home venue. The meet is slated to begin at 4 p.m. at Reynolds Coliseum.
The Wolfpack is joined in the regional by top-ranked Florida, No. 12 Ohio State, No. 13 Penn State, No. 26 Kent State and No. 31 North Carolina. State has competed against every team in its regional, with the exception of Ohio State.
There will be six regionals held across the country on Saturday and every team will be hoping to finish either first or second, which will guarantee a spot in the NCAA Gymnastics Championships on April 20-22 at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga.
The top two all-around competitors, along with the event winners from each regional, will also receive an automatic bid if they are not already on one of the teams that will advance to the championship round.
For the Wolfpack, this is its 10th consecutive NCAA championship selection and the 24th all-time.
NC State enters the regional with a Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 195.870, which ranks 20th nationally according to Troester.com.
The Pack is led by seniors Brooke Barr and Jess Panza, who will look to pace NC State in their last meet at Reynolds Coliseum.
State will begin the meet on vault and then have a bye before competing on bars and beam. The Pack will then have its second bye before closing out competition on floor.
Ticket prices for the event are Adults $10, Seniors (65 & Older) and Youth (17 & under) $6, and NC State students $5.
