Summer Spotlight: Morgan Johnson
July 2, 2012 RALEIGH, N.C.-- With a sport like gymnastics there is never really an offseason because there is always something in a routine that can be improved or perfected. Senior Morgan Johnson has been in the gym this summer working on different aspects of her routine for her last season with the Wolfpack. Johnson was a mainstay in the lineup for the Pack last season, competing on vault in every meet with the exception of Oklahoma. The senior posted a 9.8 on vault at the Sweetheart Invitational and finished third in the event against William & Mary. The senior gymnast is embracing her new role as a leader, being one of only two seniors on the squad for next season. Johnson sees the role as one that will be challenging at times because of the potential to be a fairly young team, but not overbearing.
