Abby's tenure with the Sports Medicine department at NC State University began in 2013. Originally from Milford Center, Ohio, Abby attended Otterbein University (Westerville, OH), a CAATE accredited program, for her undergraduate athletic training degree. She then continued her education by attending North Carolina State University for her Master's of Education degree in adult and higher education with a concentration in health professions.
As a graduate assistant athletic trainer at NC State, she worked with men's and women's swimming and diving, men's soccer, and cheerleading. Following her stint as a graduate assistant, she joined Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic at the Athletic Performance Center. After three and half years, she returned to her alma mater, NC State, as an assistant athletic trainer with women's soccer and men's and women's swimming and diving.
Abby is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Abby has extensive experience with the rehabilitation of ACL injuries and return to play criteria. She has worked with multiple elite athletes and a professional hockey team.
