RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State women’s soccer student-athletes Caroline Gentry and Meagan Proper have earned spots on the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
Gentry and Proper are each earning the honor for the second time in their careers. Both student-athletes were also named to the team following the conclusion of the 2012 season.

Started all 19 matches of the season ... Scored four goals (third on team) and distributed two assists to total 10 points on the year ... Doubled her goal-scoring output from her freshman season (2) to her sophomore season (4) ... Scored one game-winning goal against Georgia Southern on Aug. 30 ... Registered 30 total shots on the season, 13 of which were on target ... Scored three goals in the first four matches of the season ... Found the back of the net during matches against Navy (Aug. 23), Georgia Southern, East Tennessee State (Sept. 1), and Boston College (Sept. 29) ... Dished out assists against Syracuse (Oct. 20) and No. 23 Wake Forest (Oct. 31) ... Played a total of 1,434 minutes on the year, averaging 75 per match.
Meagan Proper | D | Garner, N.C. | Liberal Studies | 3.889 GPA
Played in and started 17 matches during the season ... Logged 1,417 minutes on the year ... Scored one goal and recorded five assists (T-1st on team) to accumulate seven points throughout the season ... Recorded five shots, three of which were on target ... Scored the first goal of her career in the last match of her career, a 2-1 win over No. 23 Wake Forest on Oct. 31 ... Named to the College Soccer 360 Primetime Performers Honor Roll for the week of Oct. 28 - Nov. 3.
