FAIRFAX, Va. – Returning starters Jackie Stengel and Dayna Tomayko of the NC State women’s soccer team have joined Braddock Road Stars Elite of the USL W-League for the 2014 summer season.
An open league featuring both professional and amateur players, the W-League allows college student athletes to play competitive matches during the summer without jeopardizing their collegiate eligibility.
Braddock Road continues the 2014 season on Sunday, June 8 against the New Jersey Wildcats. The club will play six home matches throughout June and July at Robinson High School’s Samuel J. Coffey Stadium. For the full schedule, click here.

Invited to stay on with the U.S. Women through Dec. 21 in preparation for the team's CONCACAF U20 tournament ... Started and played in 18 of a possible 19 games ... Only missed the game at Duke (Oct. 24) due to injury ... Averaged 0.5 goals and 1.06 points per game ... Started the season on a tear, scoring five goals in the first four games of the year ... Scored at least one goal in eight separate games ... Scored two goals and provided one assist on seven shots vs. Georgia Southern (Aug. 30) ... Scored two game-winning goals, one vs. Longwood (Aug. 25) and one at Pittsburgh (Oct. 15) ... NC State was 5-3 when she scored at least one goal ... Played 1,514 minutes on the season, averaging 84 per match.

2013: Started the first 10 games of the season before having her year cut short due to injury ... Played 900 minutes on the season, going the full 90 in all 10 of the matches in which she participated ... Recorded one shot throughout the year ... Earned the first start of her career in NC State's 3-2 win at Navy on Aug. 23.
NC State opens the 2014 season with a home exhibition against Appalachian State on Aug. 13. The Wolfpack will then host UNC-Wilmington on Aug. 22 for its first official match of the season.
