NC State sophomore Jessica Baity was named College Sports Madness Women's Soccer ACC Player of the Week on Monday for her exceptional performance during this past week's action.
The Yadkinville, N.C., native scored the game-winning goal in Friday night's 1-0 victory at Texas. Baity found the back of the net on a deep shot in the 83rd minute for her first collegiate goal.
The win squared the all-time series between NC State and Texas to 2-2-0, and represented the first Wolfpack win over the Longhorns since a 1-0 decision in Austin in 1984.
The Wolfpack went on to also earn a 2-1 come-from-behind victory at LSU on Sunday afternoon, and is now 2-2 on the young season.
College Sports Madness identifies the highest impact players nationally and from each conference in its weekly feature.
State hosts The Citadel on Friday at 7 p.m., at Dail Soccer Field.
