    State Welcomes Wake For Thursday Night Showdown

    Raleigh, N.C. - NC State will play No. 7 Wake Forest in its first home ACC match on Thursday at 7 p.m., at Dail Soccer Field.

    The Pack, coming off a 3-1 win against Towson, is looking for its first ACC win of the season.

    Senior Tanya Cain leads the ACC with 43 shots in 10 games. Freshman Stephanie Bronson and redshirt senior Alex Berger are tied for 10th in the ACC with five goals  scored. Four of Berger's goals have been game winners. That figure ties her for fifth nationally with 11 others.

    Bronson has a scoring streak over the last three matches where she has netted four  goals, including her first multi-goal game against North Florida. She leads the club with 12 total points.

    Senior goalkeeper Kim Kern is ranked first in the ACC in saves with 47, and sixth in save percentage, at .810.

    Scouting Wake Forest
    Wake Forest is 1-0 in conference play, and is riding a five-game winning streak. The Deacs knocked off No. 3 Florida State last Thursday to open conference play.

    Last Meeting
    NC State dropped a tough 2-1 match at Wake Forest last year, with the Deacs coming out on top in overtime.

    Next Match
    NC State will travel to College Park, Md., to take on Maryland on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Terrapins are 0-1 in conference play.
