    Pack Softball Loses 1-0 Heartbreaker in 12 Innings to No. 5 Tennessee

    Sophomore pitcher Emily Weiman goes the distance in the longest postseason game in both NC State and Tennessee history. An 11th-inning, run-scoring triple ended the classic pitcher's duel between Weiman and Tennessee's Ellen Renfroe. The Pack played a second game later Saturday night.

    NC State Softball Grabs ACC Championship With 1-0 Win over FSU

    Sophomore pitcher Emily Weiman shut down the Seminoles with a four-hit shutout to win her 31st game of the season. The 2013 ACC Pitcher of the Year was also named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. The Pack will receive the ACC's automatic berth into the NCAA Championship.

    Dent's 2-Run Homer Propels Pack to ACC Softball Title Game

    The senior center fielder's 14th homer of the year made the difference in the Pack's 3-1 win over Virginia Tech in the semifinal contest. The Pack will play Florida State in Saturday's 6 p.m. championship game, which will be broadcast on ESPN2.

    Davis Hits 2 Home Runs, Weiman Pitches Shutout in Softball's 7-0 Win

    NC State's softball team won its 10th straight game and its 17th in its last 19 outings with a 7-0 win over Virginia in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship in Tallahassee, Fla. Davis now has 26 homers on the season and Weiman has 29 wins. The Pack faces Virginia Tech on Friday at 1 p.m. in the semifinals.

    Softball Wins 6th Straight With 11-0 Win at Elon

    Junior first baseman Leah Jones drives in a career-high five runs with a three-run homer and a two-run single and sophomore shortstop Renada Davis extends her school-record and ACC-leading home run total to 21. Junior Scout Albertson had three RBIs in the Wolfpack's final midweek game of the regular season.

    As a Sophomore (2012)

    • Versatile utility player who made a total of 32 starts at first base (14), catcher (11), third base (4), outfield (2) and shortstop (1).
    • Played in 40 overall contests.
    • Posted a .243 batting average in 74 at-bats.
    • Had three doubles on the season.
    • Went 3-for-3 with two RBIs against Boston College.
    • Was 2-for-2 with two RBIs against East Carolina.

    As a Freshman (2011)

    • Made 46 appearances as a freshman in 2011, making starts in 42 contests.
    • Hit .183 for the season with 19 hits.
    • Notched three doubles and one triple.
    • Drove in 10 runs.
    • Laid down eight sacrifice bunts, tops on the squad.
    • Was successful in her only stolen base attempt on the season.
    • Started games at left field, center field, shortstop and DP in her first season for the Pack.
    • Helped turn two double plays.

    • Lettered three years in softball at Mission Viejo High School under head coach Toni Mascarenes and one season at Perry High School.
    • Helped lead her MVHS team to the South Coast League championship in 2007 and 2008.
