    2012 ACC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR

    As a Freshman (2012)

    • Named ACC Freshman of the Year after a record-setting offensive season as the Wolfpack's starting shortstop.
    • Started all 53 contests that she played.
    • Set a single-season school record with a .362 batting average and a school-record .450 on-base percentage.
    • Easily led the team with 55 hits on the season.
    • Finished second in the ACC batting race to Maryland senior Kathy McLaughlin.
    • Was sixth in the ACC in assists, eighth in hits and ninth in on-base percentage.
    • Second on the team with five stolen bases.
    • Tied for second on the team with Bethaney Wells with eight doubles on the year, one behind senior Landon Warren.
    • Was also second on the team with 24 walks on the season.
    • Had 14 multi-hit games and a career-high three hits against Boston College and in back-to-back games against Virginia.
    • Had two seven-game hitting streaks, which tied with Bethaney Wells for the longest of the season.
    • Drove in a career-high six runs in a 2-for-2 outing against N.C. Central, including the first home run of her collegiate career.
    • Also had four RBIs in the second game of a double-header against Virginia.

    High School

    • Lettered four years at Tomball High School for head coach Benita Dunlavy.
    • Batted .548 with 23 doubles, eight triples, 10 home runs, all while scoring 60 runs and only fanning six times as a senior in 2011.
    • Piled up honors her senior campaign, including being named MaxPreps.com first-team All-American, ESPN RISE first-team softball All-American, Texas Sportswriters Association 5A all-state first-team and Greater Houston Offensive Player of the Year.
    • Notched 26 RBIs and 18 stolen bases in her junior season at Tomball.
    • Named District 16-5A Newcomer of the Year as a freshman in 2008.
    • Three-time District 13-5A first-team honoree.
    • Garnered District 13-5A MVP honors as a junior.
    • In 2010, was named Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 5A all-state first team.
    • Garnered Texas Sports Writers Association all-state honorable mention honors as a junior.
    • Completed an unassisted triple play to clinch a state playoff game as a sophomore.
    • Competed for the Texas Peppers in travel ball.
