Michelle Green became the newest member of the Wolfpack staff, joining the team as the pitching coach after an All-American career at the University of Georgia. A 2005 graduate, Green will coach the NC State pitching staff, which returns NFCA Southeast Region Second Team selection and All-ACC standout Abbie Sims. Shaina Ervin, who has won 22 games in two seasons for the Wolfpack, will return as well in addition to sophomores Brooke Isley and Megan Dalthorp.

"Michelle brings a championship mentality and the knowledge of how to be a successful pitcher," Navas said. "She has a great personality and mentality that meshes with our team. I look forward to having her in our Wolfpack family."

Green brings a wealth of pitching knowledge to the Wolfpack staff after earning two SEC Pitcher of the Year awards and garnering first-team All-SEC honors twice. She helped her Bulldogs team to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Super Regional berth her senior season.

A two-time All-American, finished her career at Georgia as the greatest pitcher in Bulldog history. Green is the all-time school leader in wins (104), ERA (1.30), shutouts (47.5) and strikeouts (1,070).

She posted a 39-8 record and 1.10 ERA in 2003, striking out 407 batters en route to her first All-America selection. As a senior in 2005, Green sported a 27-4 mark and 1.35 ERA, fanning 272 batters in 187 innings pitched.

The 22-year old Green is a native of Duluth, Georgia and she recently earned a B.S.Ed. in sport studies with an emphasis in business from UGA.
