Softball Continues Season-Long Homestand
RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State finishes up its season long eight-game homestand this week at the Curtis & Jacqueline Dail Softball Stadium.
The Wolfpack will play a single game with Charleston Southern on Tuesday at 5 p.m., and will host a doubleheader with Ohio State the following day at 2 p.m.

NC State (13-8) is coming off winning two of three over Virginia in the ACC opener for both schools last weekend. Mendy McKenzie was sensational in the circle, holding the Cavaliers offense to just two hits while picking up eight K’s in a 9-1 victory in the nightcap of a two-game doubleheader sweep on Saturday.
Eliza Jacobellis picked up three RBIs, while Alyssa Ishibashi and Allison Presnell each knocked in a pair. Alyssa Allbritten went 2-for-2 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored. Kristine Bectholdt added her team-leading fourth home run of the season.
Hannah Ojeda leads the team in hitting with a .341 batting clip, while Alyssa Ishibashi is at .274 with eight RBI.
The Wolfpack pitching staff has been solid this year, combining for a 1.84 ERA. Lindsay Campana (6-5, 1 save) owns a 1.50 ERA with seven complete games and a team-leading 81 punch outs. McKenzie (5-3, 1 save) carries a 2.23 ERA with 60 K’s.
Scouting Charleston Southern and Ohio State
Charleston Southern carries a 15-16 overall record and opened Big South Conference play last Friday with a 8-0 win over Coastal Carolina.
Ohio State, ranked No. 17 nationally, has won 11-straight games and has compiled a 22-3 record, 2-0 in Big Ten action. The Buckeyes have won each of its last four games by run rule and outscored Michigan State 17-1 in a two-game sweep over the weekend.

NC State is 2-1 all-time against Charleston Southern, splitting two games in Raleigh back in 2004.
Ohio State has won both previous neutral site contests with NC State back in 2004 and 2005.
