GREENSBORO, N.C. - With all of the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season games completed, the 2014 ACC Championship field is set. NC State will be the fourth seed in the championship and face North Carolina in the first round on Thursday, May 8 at 1:30 p.m.

This year's championship will be held in College Park, Md., with the University of Maryland serving as the host for the three-day event which concludes on Saturday, May 10 with the championship game.

It will be the seventh time that the Wolfpack and Tar Heels have faced each other in the ACC Championship with the Pack owning a 4-2 advantage in those contests. North Carolina won the last meeting between the two schools, 7-1, in the 2010 championships.

NC State and North Carolina played a three-game series just last weekend which was the final ACC series of the 2014 season for both teams. The Wolfpack won two of the three games to win the series.

Florida State earned the top seed in the championship, while Notre Dame and Virginia Tech are the second and third seeds, respectively. Syracuse is the sixth seed and Boston College is the seventh seed. Georgia Tech rounds out the field as the eighth seed.

The winner of the NC State and North Carolina game will face the winner of the Florida State and Georgia Tech contest on Friday, May 9 at 1p.m.

Last season NC State won the ACC Championship as the No. 2 seed. The Wolfpack defeated Virginia and Virginia Tech in the first two rounds before defeating Florida State in the championship game. It was the program's second ACC Championship in school history and first since 2006.

Fans unable to attend the event can watch the action as all seven games will be televised. Thursday’s and Friday’s games will be split between the league’s regional sports network and ESPN3, and the championship game on Saturday will be on ESPN2. Live statistics will be available throughout the event on the championship website, http://theacc.co/SBchamp.
