Wolfpack Women's Tennis Hosts VCU Thursday

Live Scoring | Twitter Updates RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State women’s tennis team will put its unblemished record on the line when it plays the second of its five-match home stand Thursday, Mar. 14, at 4 p.m. at the Curtis and Jacqueline Dail Outdoor Tennis Stadium. Last Time Out: The Pack took two of three doubles matches to win the doubles point, before going on to take five of six singles matches to seal the 6-1 win over UNCW. Junior Joelle Kissell and freshman Rachael James-Baker both dropped the first sets of their singles contests, but rallied back to win the final two frames in their respective matches. Scouting VCU: The Rams enter Thursday’s matchup with an 11-4 record on the season. At this point in the season, VCU and NC State share a trio of common opponents in Winthrop, Wake Forest and South Florida, as both teams defeated those opponents earlier this season. VCU is led by Salome Kvitashvili’s 16-6 singles record, while Olga Barscheheuskaya owns a 12-4 mark and is 5-2 in dual matches. Daria Yakauleva and Olga Terteac lead the Rams with a 6-1 doubles record, which includes a 3-1 ledger in dual matches. NC State Notes:
