RALEIGH, N.C. - Hans Olsen has stepped down as NC State’s women’s tennis coach after 13 seasons to pursue other professional opportunities.
“I am very proud of the character and integrity that has been the cornerstone of our program for the past 13 years,” said Olsen. “To all of the people that have been a part of this program, I offer sincere thanks. This journey has been a team effort.”
Olsen posted a 138-159 overall record and led his teams to five NCAA Tournament appearances during his tenure.
“We appreciate all of Hans’ contributions to Wolfpack women’s tennis and our student-athletes,” said senior associate athletics director and sport supervisor Michael Lipitz. “We wish he and his family all the best in their future endeavors.”
A national search for a new head coach will begin immediately, led by Lipitz. Susanne Depka will continue in her role as assistant coach and manage the team in the interim period.
