RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State women's tennis team released its schedule for the 2012-13 season Monday afternoon, as the Wolfpack looks to build on last season's ACC quarterfinal appearance. Nine regular season opponents on the schedule reached the NCAA tournament last season, while six finished ranked in the top-25 of the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll.

Head coach Hans Olsen will open his 12th season at the helm of the program, which opens its fall season at the Southern Shootout, Sept. 21-23 in Atlanta, Ga. Members of the team will also compete at ITA All-Americans, the USTA National Invitational, ITA Regionals, the University of Tennessee Invitational and ITA National Indoors to round out the fall schedule.

Dual match play will begin when NC State hosts East Carolina on Jan. 31, followed by additional non-conference matches against UNC Greensboro, Charleston Southern, College of Charleston, Winthrop and Long Beach State.

The Wolfpack will open Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play at Wake Forest on March 2, before finishing off its non-conference slate against USF, UNC Wilmington, Virginia Commonwealth and Brown. The team will then host North Carolina and reigning ACC champion Duke, before four-straight road matches at Miami, Florida State, Virginia Tech and Virginia.

The Wolfpack will close the regular season with consecutive home matches against Boston College, Maryland, Clemson and Georgia Tech, before heading to the ACC Tournament April 25-28 in Cary, N.C.

NCAA team tournament play begins May 10-12, followed by the NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships in Champaign, Ill.

The Pack, 8-16 overall and 3-8 in the ACC last season, return seven letterwinners, including Joelle Kissell who returns for her junior year after a 2012 campaign where she posted a 15-9 overall record in dual matches playing at the No. 1 spot in the singles lineup. Kissell came in at No. 32 in the final ITA singles rankings, and reached the second round of the NCAA Singles Championship.
