NC State Volleyball Is Flavored With Texas Influences

Third-year head coach Bryan Bunn and his staff are well-known in and familiar with the Lone Star State. Three Wolfpack players are also from Texas. The Pack plays Texas A&M on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA volleyball championships.

Volleyball To Host Final 2 Regular-Season Home Matches

The NC State volleyball team will host Virginia on Friday at 7 p.m. and Virginia Tech on Saturday at 5 p.m. in a pair of important matches in the ACC regular-season race. Saturday, both seniors Megan Cyr and Alexa Micek will be honored for their contributions to the program. Admission is free for all spectators.

Pack Volleyball Loses to No. 23 Miami in 4 Sets

The 23rd-ranked Hurricanes outhit the Wolfpack .286 to .146 in the match, to take a 3-1 victory at Reynolds Coliseum. The Wolfpack plays three of its final five matches on the road, beginning with a trip to Clemson on Friday and Georgia Tech on Saturday.

The NC State volleyball team begins practice on Aug. 7 and is looking to improve on last year's breakthrough 20-13 season. Here's a closer look at this year's squad.

2011 season

Saw action in one set, a 3-1 victory over Charleston Southern.

2010 season

Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Did not compete due to injury.

2009 season

Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Appeared in 15 matches.
Recorded 26 assists and seven digs.
Averaged 1.24 assists per game.

Competed in volleyball at Cherry Creek High School for four years.
Helped her team to the 2008 5A State Championship with a perfect 31-0 record.
