Senior led the Wolfpack in points scored and kills last season
The Wolfpack will split into two squads and host seven other teams in the day-long event at Reynolds Coliseum.
Third-year head coach Bryan Bunn and his staff are well-known in and familiar with the Lone Star State. Three Wolfpack players are also from Texas. The Pack plays Texas A&M on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA volleyball championships.
After winning first set, NC State's volleyball team loses the next two and falls 15-7 in the decisive fifth set. The Pack will find out Sunday at 4 p.m. if it is selected for the 64-team NCAA Championship field for the first time since 1987.
The fourth-place Wolfpack will face the third-place Tar Heels in a 2 p.m. contest at Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill. Admission is free for all spectators.
2013: Played in 30 matches on the season and saw action in 104 sets ... Led the Wolfpack in kills for the second consecutive season smacking a team-best 335 ... 2012: Played in all 32 of the team's matches and appeared in 114 of the team's 122 sets in her second season with the Wolfpack ... Led the team with 325 kills, recording double-digit kill totals in 17 matches ... Tallied a career-high 23 kills in the win over Virginia Tech ... Recorded 104 digs on the season, an average of .91 per set ... Finished the season with 55 blocks, the fourth-best total among returning players ... Named ACC Co-Player of the Week on Nov. 19 after the matches against Virginia and Virginia Tech ... Combined for 33 kills, 12 digs and four blocks in those two contests ... Selected to the All-Tournament team of the West Ashley Invitational
2011: First NC State player since 2003 to earn a place on the All-ACC Freshmen Team ... Two-time ACC Freshman of the Week honoree ... Came on strong at the end of the season, posting double-digit kill totals in 11 of the Wolfpack's final 14 matches ... Played in 97 of the Wolfpack's 124 total sets ... Was third on the team with 244 kills on the season, averaging 2.52 kills per set ... Owned a .188 hitting percentage ... Was fourth on the team with 55 total blocks on the season.
