    Volleyball 2012: A Closer Look

    The NC State volleyball team begins practice on Aug. 7 and is looking to improve on last year's breakthrough 20-13 season. Here's a closer look at this year's squad.

    • Played setter for coach Jim Clark at Freedom High School in Chantilly, Va.
    • First-team all-district, all-region and all-state as a senior.
    • Helped her team post a 23-6 overall and 9-1 league record in 2011.
    • Had 255 kills, 75 aces, 46 blocks, 142 digs and 467 assists as a high school senior.
    • Ranked the No. 9 recruit in the state of Virginia by MaxPreps.com.
    • Selected for the 2011 Under Armour All-American Watch List.
