The senior setter from St. Andrews, Manitoba, led the record-setting volleyball team in assists and attack average and also ranked in the top four on the team in blocking, digs and service aces. Cyr was also named to the All-ACC team.
In three seasons at NC State, played every point in 96 matches and 357 sets.
Had at least 1,000 assists in each of her three seasons and finished her Wolfpack career with 3,660 assists, which ranks third in school history. Amassed 1,133 assists as a sophomore, a career-high 1,293 as a junior and 1,234 as a senior. She also had a three-year attack average of .358, which ranks second all time in NC State volleyball history. As a senior, started all 32 matches and led the Wolfpack with a .339 attack average. Also had 110 kills, 86 blocks, 284 digs and 19 service aces. Team captain, with senior Alexa Micek, of first NC State team to earn a bid to the NCAA Championships since 1987. Team finished 22-10 overall, 12-8 in ACC for the most overall wins since 1983 and a school-record number of conference wins. Named to the 2012 All-ACC team and was an honorable mention AVCA All-American. Chosen most valuable player in two tournaments as a senior and one as a junior. Named the ACC Player of the Week for Sept. 24, 2012.
Played in all 124 sets for the Wolfpack, running her streak to 235 consecutive sets played in her two seasons at NC State. For the second season in a row, led the team in assists, recording 1,293 on the year. Has 2,425 in her two seasons at NC State, which ranks sixth in school history. Posted a team-high .427 attack average. Was second on the team with 336 digs, averaging 2.71 digs per set. Was third on the team with 78 blocks, including eight solo blocks. Her 118 kills ranked seventh on the team. Had 14 service aces on the season. Named the Most Valuable Player of the Courtyard Midtown Invitational, hosted by NC State at Reynolds Coliseum. Spent the summer training with Team Canada, her native country's national team, in Winnepeg, Manitoba. Will rejoin the national team next spring to try-out for its World University Games team in the summer.
Played in all 111 sets in the 2010 season. Dished out a team-high 1,133 assists. Assist total ranks as the 11th best single season mark in Wolfpack history.
2009 Season (Colorado)
Saw action in 62 sets, earning 10 starts for the season at the University of Colorado. Earned 211 assists throughout the season, second on the team. Also gathered 20 kills and 64 digs. Scored 15 blocks, including one solo effort. Recorded 47 assists in the match against Texas Tech, giving her the highest match total on the year.
2008 Season (Colorado)
Earned three varsity letters at Lord Selkirk under coach Rick Scott. Served as team captain her junior and senior seasons. Named 2007 High School Volleyball Player of the Year in Manitoba, Canada. Received the Players Choice Award for High School Volleyball in 2006. Competed for the Selkirk Royals VBC that won the Provisional AAAA volleyball championship three straight years in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Named club team MVP twice. A part of Canada Youth National team in 2006. Named to Canada Junior National team in 2008. Also lettered twice in basketball. Has one brother a setter at the University of Calgary. Majoring in interpersonal communication.
