    Volleyball Has Successful Tourney, Ends Spring Season This Weekend

    The Wolfpack posted a 6-2 record last weekend at its own tournament in Reynolds Coliseum. It will play its final event of the spring on Saturday at Chapel Hill.

    Split Volleyball Squads Perform Well in First Spring Tournament

    The two squads both went 6-2 in Saturday's nine-team tournament, hosted at Reynolds Coliseum. Sophomore Morgan Cormier had 27 kills and junior Alesha Wilson had 11 blocks.

    Volleyball Hosts First Spring Tournament on Saturday

    The Wolfpack will split into two squads and host seven other teams in the day-long event at Reynolds Coliseum.

    2012 Season

    • Transferred to NC State after one season at San Diego State.
    • Enrolled at the start of the 2013 spring semester and will participate in all team spring activities.
    • Played in 10 matches her freshman season at San Diego State.
    • Had 91 assists in her 22 sets for the Aztecs.

    Preps

    • A three-year letterwinner at Grapevine High School for head coach Diane Wilson.
    • Named a 5A all-state honorable mention selection by the Texas Sports Writers Association, a District 6-5A first-team selection and the Fort Worth Star Telegram Player of the Year.
    • Missed the first two months of her senior season with torn ligaments.
    • Finished year with 199 digs, 8.9 assists per match.
    • Finished career with 1,129 assists and 3,298 digs as a three-year starter.
    • Named an Academic All-American and to the Academic All-District 6-5A three straight years.
    • Active in several school organizations including National Charity League, Student Council, National honor Society and good Shepherd Catholic youth Ministry.
    • Won a Student Ambassador Award for community service and was named an Outstanding Student World Geography/History.

    • Played for Texas Advantage Volleyball club for five years and was named team captain.
    • Helped her team finish third or higher in 14 events, including six championships.
    • Daughter of Mike and Kris Aljoe.
    • Father played football at Oklahoma from 1982-85 and was a member of the USA bobsled team at the 1988 Winter Olympics.
    • Enjoys photography, yoga and beach volleyball.
