NC State Volleyball Gets Swept By Georgia Tech, 3-0

The NC State volleyball team suffered its second Atlantic Coast Conference loss in a row Saturday night, losing 3-0 to Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets, who defeated the Wolfpack by the scores of 24-30, 18-30 and 19-30, improved to 7-5, 2-0 in the ACC. The Pack now drops to 10-5 overall, 0-2 in conference play.
Leading the way for NC State was senior outside hitter Melanie Rowe and junior outside hitter Casey Wyatt. Rowe finished with a team-best 11 kills off a .526 attack percentage, while Wyatt was right behind her with 10 kills of her own. Junior middle blocker Stefani Eddins stepped up defensively, notching six block assists, and sophomore setter Melissa Rabe dished out 30 assists on the night.
For Tech, senior outside hitter Lynnette Moster had a match-high 16 kills to go with a .583 hitting percentage. She also recorded nine digs. Joining Moster was senior outside hitter Lauren Sauer, who posted double digit kills of her own with 11.
As a team, the Wolfpack hit only .175 to the Yellow Jackets' .317, and committed 11 service errors on the night.
NC State gets the week to prepare for a long home stretch that starts Saturday, October 2nd with a 7:00 p.m. match against Virginia. The Pack will also take on Maryland on Sunday, October 3rd that is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start.
