    Final Stats

    Outside Hitter Leslie Finn recorded a match-best 20 kills to go with 13 digs as she helped the Clemson Tigers roll to a 3-0 victory over the NC State volleyball team Saturday night at Reynolds Coliseum. The win was the first for the Tigers in ACC play, moving them to 11-6 overall, 1-1 in the conference, while the Wolfpack fell to 6-10, 0-3 in the ACC.

    Games one and two belonged to Clemson, as the Tigers cruised to 30-18 and 30-16 victories respectively. But after a short intermission, NC State settled down and took an early lead in game three. Back and forth the two teams would go until Clemson slowly pulled away toward the end. The Tigers would go on to clinch the match with a 30-21 game three win.

    The Wolfpack was led by junior middle blocker Maya Mapp offensively, who finished with seven kills off a .294 attack percentage. Freshman outside hitter Julia Reis added six kills to go with a match-high 14 digs, while senior libero Caroline Frede tacked on another 10 digs on the defenisve side of the net. Setters Melissa Rabe and Crystal Shannon finished the night with 11 and 10 assists respectively.

    Outside hitter Liz Beckham also finished the night with double-digits in kills for the Tigers, recording 10 off a .206 attack percentage. Libero Lindsey Abbott recorded 11 digs defensively for Clemson, while setter Stephanie Haskell dished out 45 assists.

    The Wolfpack will now have a week off to prepare for rival North Carolina. The Tar Heels make the short trip to Reynolds Coliseum on Friday, October 3rd for a 7 p.m. match.
