Florida State Sweeps NC State Volleyball

Tallahassee, Fla. - Erica Bunch had 20 kills and no errors in 25 total attacks Sunday to lead Florida State to a three-game sweep of NC State in an Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball match. The Seminoles defeated the Wolfpack by scores of 30-16, 30-15 and 30-25.
NC State concludes regular-season play with an overall record of 6-20, 1-15 in the ACC. Florida State finishes at 15-11 overall and 10-6 in the conference.
Bunch, who had a gaudy hitting percentage of .800, had plenty of offensive help from her Seminole teammates. Norisha Campbell had 12 kills in 21 attacks for a .429 percentage and added four total blocks at the net. The Seminoles hit .477 as a team for the match. Alex Sevillano had a match-high eight digs.
Freshman Melanie Rowe led NC State with eight kills. Rowe also had three total blocks and three digs. Senior middle blocker Alison Kreager, junior outside hitter Rebecca Anderson and freshman setter Lindi Sheppard had five kills apiece. Sophomore defensive specialist Caroline Frede had a tea-best six digs. Sheppard had 21 assists, and freshman middle blocker Sarah Ensminger had four total blocks.
NC State will begin play in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament on Friday at Tallahassee.
