RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State volleyball team went 6-2 in its four matches last Saturday during its second spring tournament at Reynolds Coliseum. The Wolfpack, in its third of four spring tournaments, swept a pair of sets against Duke and Coastal Carolina and split two sets against both High Point and Coastal Carolina.
The Wolfpack, under fourth-year head coach Bryan Bunn, will conclude its spring practice on Saturday when it plays in a tournament in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Junior Alesha Wilson led all Wolfpack players with 16 kills, while senior Meredith Richardson had seven blocks in last weekend's action. Junior Alston Kearns had 34 digs and sophomore setter Tanna Aljoe had 73 assists.
"Our passing and defense was much improved," said fourth-year coach Bryan Bunn. "Our blocking still needs to improve as a whole."
The Pack is coming off its record-setting 22-10 season, in which it made the school's second NCAA Championship appearance and its first in 25 years.
