Volleyball Heads to Final Tournament
RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State volleyball will make the short to trek to nearby Greensboro, N.C., for the UNC Greensboro Volleyball Tournament, Sept. 18-19. The Wolfpack will play four matches across the two-day event, taking on High Point (7-5), LaSalle (2-11), Georgetown (5-5) and host UNC Greensboro (4-6).

The Pack will take on High Point (noon) and LaSalle (5 p.m.) on Friday, before facing Georgetown (noon) and UNC Greensboro (7 p.m.) on Saturday.
NC State will hit the road at 6-5 on the year after downing Dartmouth last weekend. Lindsay Benac, Alex Smith and Sarah Griggs all rank amongst the ACC top-10 statistically in several categories, with Benac’s 3.84 digs per set standing fifth overall. Smith’s 9.00 set assists per set average is seventh, while Griggs’ 0.37 service aces per set is ninth within the league. Kelly Wood’s 90 kills is a team-best, as is Lisa Kretchman’s 26 total blocks.
The Wolfpack holds a 21-12 record all-time against the tournament field, having never faced LaSalle. The Pack is 13-6 against UNC Greensboro, 7-4 over High Point and 1-2 when facing Georgetown.NC State will open conference play next weekend on the road, traveling to Georgia Tech and Clemson.
