    Volleyball Returns to the Road for ACC Action
     
     
    RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State volleyball team is headed back out on the road for conference matches at Virginia Tech and Virginia. The Wolfpack will take on the Hokies in Blacksburg, Va., on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m., before battling Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9.

    The Pack stands at 7-12 (0-4 ACC) following two weekends of conference play. Kelly Wood leads the team with 150 kills, while Alex Smith’s 430 set assists and Lisa Kretchman’s 53 total blocks are both team bests. Lindsey Benac’s 289 digs is sixth in the ACC, while Sarah Griggs’ 15 service aces is ninth-best.

    As a team, NC State leads the league in double-doubles with 19 total.

    Virginia Tech carries an 11-5 (1-4 ACC) record, having dropped five of its last seven decisions, while Virginia (6-10, 1-4 ACC) has lost six-straight and eight of 10.

    NC State will return home next weekend with matches against Wake Forest and Duke.
