RALEIGH, N.C. – In a jam-packed weekend of last chance qualifiers taking place at numerous sites across the country, several members of the women’s track & field team came up just short of solidifying bids to next weekend’s NCAA Indoor Championships.
In Blacksburg, Va., at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Qualifier, junior Elizabeth Shuman cleared her second-highest measurement of the season in the women’s high jump at 5’ 10.50” to take first place in the event, while senior Jazueline Daniels leapt 39’ 7.25” in the women’s triple jump.
Redshirt sophomore Tremanisha Taylor and redshirt junior Nicole Chavis made the trip to South Bend, Ind., on the campus of the University of Notre Dame for the Alex Wilson Invitational to compete in the throws.
