    RALEIGH, N.C. – Members of the NC State track & field team will make final attempts to reach next weekend’s NCAA Indoor Championships, as they compete in several meets this weekend. The Pack will send competitors to the Alex Wilson Invitational at the University of Notre Dame, Virginia Tech’s Last Chance Qualifier and the Columbia Final Qualifying Meet.

    Among those competing this weekend will be seniors Andie Cozzarelli and Jazueline Daniels, juniors Kenyetta Iyevbele and Elizabeth Shuman, redshirt sophomore Tremanisha Taylor, and redshirt freshman Nicole Chavis.

    This weekend's meets offer Wolfpack athletes a final opportunity to improve their marks and receive bids to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held Mar. 8-9 at the University of Arkansas.

    Track Notes:
    • The men’s team is ranked 19th and the women’s team is 29th in the latest USTFCCCA poll.
    • The women’s team finished fourth and the men’s team placed eighth at last weekend’s ACC Indoor Championships in Blacksburg, Va.
    • The men’s team had two All-ACC performers, Ryan Hill and Kris Kornegay-Gober, while Hill won the ACC Championship in the men’s mile.
    • The women’s team had five All-ACC performances – four of which won gold medals: Karimah Shepherd (long jump & triple jump), Tremanisha Taylor (shot put) and Nicole Chavis (weight throw).
    • Taylor broke the program’s indoor record in the women’s shot put at the ACC Championships with a 53’ 7.00” heave.
