NC State To Play Cincinnati In ESPN's Hoops Marathon
Aug. 12, 2013
RALEIGH, N.C. - ESPN has announced the North Carolina State men's basketball team will play at Cincinnati Tuesday, Nov. 12 as part of the network's 24-Hour College Hoops Marathon. The Wolfpack and the Bearcats will tip off at 5 p.m. ET at UC's Fifth Third Arena. The game will be televised on ESPN.
NC State is 6-1 all-time against Cincinnati in a series that dates back to 1947. The last meeting between the two schools came on Dec. 23, 2007, an 85-77 Wolfpack victory at PNC Arena.
The Wolfpack are coming off consecutive seasons with 24 wins and an NCAA Tournament appearance. After two seasons under head coach Mark Gottfried, NCSU has won more games in under in the coach's first two seasons with the Pack (48) than any coach in school history with the exception of Everett Case (55) in 1947 and 1948. Overall, the 48 combined wins over the last two seasons are the most in back-to-back years since 1981-82 and 1982-83 (48 wins).
The rest of North Carolina State's non-conference men's basketball schedule will be released in the near future.
