NC State head coach Kelly Findley announced a pair of new additions to the Wolfpack men's soccer team on Thursday, as Travis Wannemuehler and Holden Fender joined the squad with hopes of contributing in 2013.

Fender arrives from UCLA, where he played in 14 games as a freshman during the Bruins' run to the conference title. The 2012 Gatorade Player of the Year in Georgia, Fender competed for the U.S. U-20 National Team which played in the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland, and the U.S. U-19 Indoor National team which played in the Mercedes Benz Cup in Germany.

In high school, Fender played four years under head coach Bucky Boozer at George Walton High School in Marietta, Ga. Fender captained the squad to the 2011 state championship, while earning a first team All-America nod from the NSCAA.

Wannemuehler was a 2012 member of the U-18 men's national team, an NSCAA All-American, and a member of the USSF Academy XI Central U-16 all-conference team from a season ago.

In 2011, Wannemuehler earned a spot on Indiana's first team all-state in both soccer and football, following a second team all-state mention as a junior in 2010. Wannemuehler attended camp for the U-15 national team, and competed for his U-15 Region II ODP team, U-15 Indiana State ODP team, and the Indiana U-16 State Cup Championship team.
