    TULSA, Okla. - The NC State men's tennis team posted three victories and secured its position into the singles and doubles main draw fields on Wednesday at the 2013 Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships, hosted by the University of Tulsa.

    In the final round of singles qualifying, junior Austin Powell, ranked 96th in the ITA's preseason rankings, defeated UAB's Chris Helliar in straight sets, 7-6 (4), 6-2. A native of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Powell is one of 16 players to make it through the qualifying draw and advance to the main draw.

    In doubles qualifying, senior Sean Weber and freshman Nick Horton captured two wins on the day to advance to the main draw field of 32 teams. Ranked 49th in the ITA rankings, Weber and Horton overwhelmed Tulsa's pair of Japie De Klerk and Matt Kirby, 8-3, before securing their spot in the main draw with a final-round victory over Florida State's pair of Benjamin Lock and Marco Nunez, 8-6. Weber and Horton will face top-ranked Mikelis Libietis and Hunter Reese of Tennessee in Thursday's first round.

    Two rounds of singles and one round of doubles are scheduled to be played on Thursday, beginning at 10 a.m. EST.
