Wolfpack Women's Basketball Receives Votes in AP Top-25 Poll

RALEIGH, N.C. - Currently on an 11-1 start to the 2013-14 season and fresh off a win over No. 12 LSU, the NC State women's basketball team earned national attention Monday afternoon, receiving 22 votes in the AP Top-25 poll.
NC State was the third highest vote recipient in the poll with 22. Of the teams falling just outside the top 25, only Arkansas (46) and Arizona State (70) earned more votes.
All of NC State's 11 wins this season have been by at least ten points and the team is averaging 22.3 more points per game than its opponents throughout the first 12 games of the campaign.
NC State will next be in action on Saturday, Dec. 28 against Kansas State at 7:30 p.m. EST in the 2013 San Diego Surf `N Slam hosted by San Diego State University. Depending upon the results of the two games on Dec. 28, the Wolfpack will play either UC Riverside or host San Diego State on Monday, Dec. 30.
