RALEIGH, N.C. - Mark Stevenson, NC State's head gymnastics coach, has announced that Courtney Bisbe and Courtney Leighton have signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) to compete for the Wolfpack next season.

Both Bisbe and Leighton are Level 10 gymnasts in competition at their respective gymnastics centers.

Bisbe joins the Pack from Salisbury, N.C., and competes at High Point Gymnastics Academy.  In 2012, she finished in the top-10 at the state championships and top-15 at regionals. Bisbe placed third on bars at the 2011 state championships and second in the all-around at regionals. She also qualified for the 2011 Junior Olympic National Championships, while also accomplishing the feat in 2009.

"Courtney is really talented and has a tremendous amount of growth going on right now," said Stevenson. "She has a beautiful beam routine and is great on floor. We're really excited about her being here."

Leighton comes to the capital city from Fort Mill, S.C., and the Southeastern Gymnastics Center in Weddington, N.C. At the 2011 regional  championships, she garnered top-10 finishes in both of the events that she competed: vault and floor. Leighton competed in the all-around at the 2010 regional championships, collecting top-10 finishes on vault, bars, floor and all-around.

"We've known Courtney for quite some time, she's been to camp for the past five or six years," Stevenson said. "She is a great vaulter and has a really pretty floor routine. Courtney comes from a great gym and is a really nice kid."

NC State opens the season on the road at LSU, Jan. 4.
