Volleyball Announces 2014 Summer Camp Dates

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State head volleyball coach Bryan Bunn has announced the 2014 summer slate of camps, set to begin mid-June and continue until mid-July. Six different camp sessions have been scheduled to encompass various age groups and skill levels.
Bunn is entering his fifth season with the Wolfpack after leading the squad to three consecutive 20-win seasons. His 2013 squad finished the season with a record of 20-12, including an 11-9 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play. In 2012, he led the Pack to the NCAA Tournament, as the squad posted a 22-10 overall record.
The camps offer instruction to players of all skill levels from ages four and up. Campers also have the option of attending the sessions as a commuter or staying overnight.
Here are the dates and costs for the camps:
Youth Volley Camp (June 16-19, July 14-17): This is a dynamic, fun filled program designed for athletes ages 4-9 that teaches athletic skills with a focus on volleyball. An athletic adventure regardless of the shape, size or athleticism of the young athlete, this program is designed to work big muscles and begin the hand-eye coordination efforts to enjoy athletics. Smaller court, smaller ball and lower nets will be used to learn all the beginning skills, movement and play for the game. Girls and boys are both highly encouraged to participate. Camp runs from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Cost is $95.
All Skills Commuter Camp I and II (June 16-19, July 14-17): Top quality training of fundamental skills for all levels ages 10 and up, specifically beginners and intermediate level players. The camp will train all skills including passing, setting, hitting, digging, blocking, and serving. Team skills and competition are also highlighted at the camp. Players are grouped by talent level, age and experience, so all levels will have an opportunity to learn and have fun. A 10 to 1 camper/coach ratio. Minimum age is 9. The camp runs from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. all four days. DAY CAMP ONLY. $180 bring your own lunch or $210 with lunch.
All Skills Overnight Camp (July 11-13): This camp is designed for the beginner and intermediate level player. This is a great preparation for the school season combined with a chance to socialize and hang out with friends or meet new ones! The camp will train all skills including passing, setting, hitting, digging, blocking, and serving. Team skills and competition are also highlighted at the camp. A 10-1 camper/coach ratio. Camp runs Friday 12 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. $380
Advanced Camp (July 18-20): This camp is designed for the varsity player or elite club player that wishes to play at a high level. Advanced techniques of all aspects of the game will be taught. The camp consists of individual and team training concluding with a camp wide tournament. There will be seven sessions in three days and you will be AMAZED at the number of quality contacts you will get!! Camper to coach ration of 8:1 insures quality individual instruction and attention. Varsity or elite club level experience is highly recommended. Camp runs Friday 12 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Overnight $380. Commuter $325
