
NC State Concludes Weekend Action

HIGH POINT, N.C. – A group of sprinters and hurdlers from the NC State track and field program picked an event win and some strong marks at High Point's VertKlasse Meeting.
Hurdles:
Dorian Williams and Josh Gandy had a one-two finish in the 110m hurdles. Williams picked up his first event win with a mark of 14.68. It's the second time he has hit the mark this season and is just .01 from his PR in the event. Gandy crossed the finish line in 14.79 for second place.
Sprints:
J'Den Williams led the Pack in the sprints with a fifth-place finish in the 100m dash. Williams crossed the finish line in 12.29.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Wolfpack's relay teams highlighted the final day of the Florida Relays.
Sprints:
The men's 4x400 team of Shannon Patterson, Quashawn Cunningham, Brian Davis and Will Krehnbrink improved from their prelims time to finish fifth overall with a time of 3:08.75. The mark is currently ranked 26th in the country.
The quartet of Brandon McLean, Jonathan Addison, Patterson and Cunningham finished just off their season-best time with a mark of 40.48 in the 4x100 relay.
In the women's 4x200 relay, Tiana Patillo, Gabriele Cunningham, Dejah Arnold and Paisley Simmons improved on their season-best time, crossing the finishing line 12th overall in 1:37.52.
Throws:
In the men's hammer throw, Joshua Davis finished just off of his PR with a heave of 195'6".
In the women's shot put, Alyssa Dunn took 8th place with a throw of 46'0.00". The mark is a season-best for the junior and marks an improvement from her previous throw this season by more than a foot.
Up Next:
NC State will travel to Fairfax, Va., Saturday to compete in the George Mason Invitational, as it continues its outdoor season.
