RALEIGH, NC - The NC State cross country teams are set to return to action on Friday, September 29 at the Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational in South Bend, Indiana.

LAST TIME OUT
NC State officially kicked off the 2023 season on September 15 in Cary at the Adidas XC Challenge. JJ Malach clocked in at 17:50.9 in the men's 6k to finish first and record his first collegiate individual win. He was followed across the finish line by Toby Gualter (17:53.2), Daniel McGoey (18:04.6), Wesley Larson (18:05.2), Zach Hughes (18:09.5), and Matthew Bogdan (18:10.2), who helped lead the Pack to a season-opening victory.
Leah Stephens (16:54.8), Angelina Napoleon (17:14.0), and Jolena Quarzo (17:14.7) ran unattached in the women's 5k and finished in the first three spots. Heather Holt represented NC State in the race and ran a time of 17:25.3 to finish in sixth.
PACK IN THE POLLS
The women's cross country team remains the number one team in the country according to the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll and the men's team sits at #21.
